Rachel, EMAR’s Guardian Angel

Rachel has always been enamored with animals—she preferred stuffed animals over baby dolls when she was a toddler, and that love has continued to this day. Every year since Rachel’s third birthday, she has had a party like every other child, but instead of seeking gifts she has asked for donations to East Mississippi Animal Rescue. Gathering the food, money, bowls, collars, toys, and such that were donated in her honor, she and her Mommy would make the trek out to EMAR so Rachel could play with those who would benefit from her friends’ generosity. Her birthday was not just a party for her but also a way to give back to all the homeless furry kids who deserve love too. Seeing the joy on her face as she is surrounded by cats and dogs, big and small, and shows them what they got for her birthday makes it all worthwhile. Here's to another year of giving from the heart and adopting from a shelter. Please help make the homeless shelters empty—spay or neuter your pets.
