These “special needs” pets need your help! At East Mississippi Animal Rescue, we have set up “The Stella Fund” to be used for our special needs pets. Stella, a friendly boxer mix, was found as a stray one Christmas by a family that was unable to keep her and turned her over to our rescue. A sweet girl, searching for love and a “forever home,” Stella was also heartworm positive. Through the donations made for special needs pets, she received numerous heartworm treatments, but she could not be saved. We have renamed this fund after sweet Stella.
